Great summary Blue, big grasshopper. I posted at IMDb; it's good to add:
"Go to reaperdmv.com for details" with or without an actual link, depending on the site. Hopefully the headlines up top will guide people to the links and details.
If you can't post the whole thing you can also say:
"Industry Insider says Syndication even more promising; ABC is in serious talks with CW affiliates, espcially those held by the Tribune, to ensure Reaper a Season 3! He advised us to increase our output to the Powers That Be--more emails/letters to the companies, and involve potential advertisers! DETAILS AT reaperdmv.com--the time is NOW, he says we have a solid week to make our mark!"
Or something like that, maybe less dorky.
I'll be on tonite, oh why didn't my cousin wait to get married until *after* Reaper's future was secure?????

got this back from mycwportland maine.
Hi Jake,
Thanks for taking the time to write and let us know what you would like! We really appreciate viewers who communicate with us…whether it's criticism or compliments!
When The CW announced that they would not be programming Sunday nights beginning this fall, we were immediately contacted by MGM with an offer of movies for 8-10PM. MGM has been supplying The CW with movies on Sunday nights and offered the affiliates the same quality movies that The CW had been getting. We, along with a number of large-market broadcasters, contracted for the movie package.
The next call was from Disney who announced their intention to continue producing Reaper. Disney offered us a season's worth of episodes that we could run from 7-8PM on Sunday evenings. We liked that idea and asked Disney to prepare a contract for our group. I don't know if the contract has been signed yet but our intention is to program new episodes of Reaper (probably 20 new episodes) beginning this fall.
I appreciate you weighing in on the subject and hope that you continue to enjoy Reaper on WPXT! Thanks, Doug

This is fabulous, we've heard nothing but interested feedback from every affiliate we've heard from haven't we? I don't think one has told us they don't want the show. And I expected a full season order, without competition with other network programming the affiliates need to fill a slot for a whole season, they don't do mid-season replacements and crap like that.
This may be the best thing that ever happened to the show. And to return in the fall, it's the best thing for us! Financially, the cast will likely come out ahead too, since even if the pay is lower, 20 episode earns them more than 13 did.
Keep writing everybody! We're doing this!!
Blue, any chance we can get some publicity this week through Ausiello and Kristen? ETA: Done. I e-mailed them both about the fan campaign and asked for their help in spreading the word.

I never get anywhere with them, but please try. I'm a bit busy putting the word out in other areas. I would emphasize the "official" sources, but supplement with unofficial. Like "I heard that ...., is it true?" stuff.

I am new here but i would just like to state that you guys and girls are doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work. I have emailed half of all the CW affiliates and am in the process of emailing all the others plus Tribune.
Also Jenny Wade, who plays Nina, has just commented on Reapers blog post on Nick Cs blog.

Dear Friends of Reaper,
(Hi!) Just wanted to thank the fans for all their efforts. We love our show and look forward to seeing whether or not our efforts bring us back from the brink. I have emailed the following to every outlet I know, and submit it here in case anyone would like to copy and paste in the same fashion. Best of everything,
Jenny “Nina”, Reaper Season 2

Dear ____,
I’ve been hearing talk that the Tribune may have something to do with saving “Reaper” from the undeserved condemnation to the proverbial TV graveyard by pairing it with LOTS. This news is beyond exciting. As a cast member I can tell you that we are all on board with you and fully supportive of this venture. We love our show and believe it has all the potential in the world to make a serious impact for whomever decides to champion it! The show has an incredibly dedicated fanbase, as shown by the series astronomical DVD sales and diligence in scoring admirable ratings against juggernaut American Idol two seasons running! Seeing this series thrive, as it is meant to, and WILL DO, is something I, and it’s legions of fans, anticipate highly!
Sincerely,
Jenny Wade
“Demon Nina” Reaper, Season 2 cast member
P.S. If I have reached you in error, would you please forward this on to whom it may concern? Thank you!

Oh man I was just coming to say that the awesome Jenny Wade posted at NickC's blog, and then here she is! How cool. We have to keep emailing and posting, I'm twittering like crazy, hopefully that is driving some traffic to the campaign. My other Twitter "friends" are getting annoyed but it's only for a week, right? Keep at it everyone...and I'll be on later tonight to help out.

I looked up Tribune owned stations in our area and discovered they own quite a few FOX stations as well as CW affiliates. If Tribune buys Reaper for all their stations, would it possibly be shown on these FOX stations too? If so, we should probably email them as well.

No, I think the show is being offered to the CW affiliates, it's just that Tribune owns so many of them, so if Tribune contracts for all of their CW stations, we have enough to keep Reaper on the air. Even if they don't, other CW affiliates may pick up the slack. I'm guessing there is a magic number of contracts they need to make this happen. I wouldn't worry about Fox.
Maybe you could try getting an interview with Jenny or any of the castmembers? Maybe even get a podcast going
There *is* a podcast, ant! Done by the lovely and talented Reapercast. Check 'em out!

I would say email them if you want to. With syndication, it really doesn't matter who picks it up, as it's not network specific. If you've got a station that's got non-network airtime to fill, by all means look them up and let them know about Reaper.
Having said that however, we are still focusing on the CW affiliates. We know ABC Studios is talking to them. Also, it's easier to get the ethereal Reaper fans involved when we're not spreading ourselves too thin - at least, it is when I'm spamming the Hell out of them.

Thanks for the feedback, Pace and Blue. If Reaper makes it, no telling where it might end up. For example, Legend of the Seeker is shown in our area on LA's CW affiliate on Saturday night, on San Diego's FOX station on Sunday night, and somehow got two back-to-back episodes on WGN on Saturday afternoon.
ABC STUDIOS needs to be convinced. I know some affiliates would jump at buying it. If you get positive repsonses from the CW affiliates forward those emails to ABC STUDIOS. If you can get Tribune (who owns the vast majority of CW Affiliates viewer wise) interested that will seal the deal.
ABC STUDIOS claims to still be shopping it, but I’ve learned that many affiliates haven’t been approached, and those that have are all interested.
Bret Harrison is on twitter. I suggest twitting him and let him know each affiliate you have that has shown interest.
I’m trying to find the main producer on the project now.
Damn, I wish we had an email address for ABC instead of their contact page.

My affiliate in Pittsburgh was one that was interested but last I heard had not received an offer. I wrote to ABC and asked them to speak with the Pittsburgh CW affiliate.
Damn, I wish we had an email address for ABC instead of their contact page.
I think I told you or ck about a time when I emailed them asking about the Toyota Prius I've seen in some of their shows, including Reaper, so knock yourself out:
edited to remove link as we have advice it should be used sparingly ~ blue

You're awesome kwyjibo. This is exactly who we should be speaking to (I've already sent my e-mail urging them to keep up their efforts and contact those interested affiliates that have not yet heard from them):

I put the info up at Nick C's blog, and this was the response I got:
Only email Chang if you have an email from an affiliate (that says they would be interested) to forward to Chang. Otherwise you’re going to fill up Chang’s in-mail and cause Chang problems. Don’t harass Chang. Just inform Chang when you have the information ABC Studios needs.
So for those of you who get positive responses back from your affiliates, make sure to forward them to her. Post them here, or send them to me in pm (or email at reaperdmv@gmail.com) and I will give you Ms. Chang's email address.
Otherwise continue using the ABC contact page we've given out:
